My professional journey
My career began from Exchange on-premises and active directory expert, moving forward with complex, large-scale environments. This worked great, it gave me a complete insights into email and identity management as well as security and compliance best practices. I also honed my skills in advanced PowerShell scripting and automation, which helped me to optimize and streamline my tasks.
Then as the cloud technology matured, I moved on to Exchange Hybrid migrations and designing M365 solutions. I have taken this knowledge and learned how to take advantage of both on-premises and cloud platforms, and migrate users and data securely and seamlessly. Along with that, I expanded my wings to other M365 services like SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure AD or now ENTRA ID.
Now, I could go into more depth on security, which is the heart and lungs of any M365 solution, which is why I am going to look into ENTRA ID.
I also participated in building SaaS products for Tenant to Tenant migrations ,using the Microsoft T2T migration feature, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Function Apps , Azure automation runbooks (with or without Hybrid worker) based on advanced PowerShell scripting. Additionally I have done other Tenant to Tenant migrations with environments still in Hybrid mode with third party tools like MigrationWiz. I am also familiar with SharePoint migrations with AvePoint and Sharegate.
My interest continues with the M365 security suite like Microsoft Defender XDR, Sentinel,Modern Workplace with endpoint management, M365 cybersecurity and Microsoft Purview unified solutions , especially Information protection and sensitivity labels.
And last but not least , in the last two years I participated in Generative AI projects with a focus on the technical and security aspects of Microsoft 365 Copilot and associated services such as Copilot Studio and Azure AI and how to successfully integrate them in a big and non-centralized IT environment, following the business requirements.
I have worked for some of the biggest clients in Europe and Belgium and participated in the biggest Carve-Out migration(M365 services) with 80.000 users as a Technical Expert/Architect and hands-on specialist, deploying inovative and efficient tools for migrations and also post migrations issues.
My expertise in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem not only benefits my clients’ businesses but ensures that their data and assets are secure, employing the latest technologies and techniques. I stay updated with everything new and innovative in the M365 space, and I love learning and challenging myself with new things.
My motto and lifestyle
My own motto is Meliora, Latin for “better”. This is a philosophy that allows me to strive growing and learning something new every single day. In my case, I view life as self improvement, and self excellence is always something that can be done.
In my leisure time, you would find me participating in my personal favorite sport which is a triathlon. This gives me a sound mind in a sound body. While I consider myself a hardworking person, I truly believe in a healthy life and attempt to balance both. Completing a triathlon is very gratifying and it always provides me with the fulfillment on the challenges of discipline and sportsmanship that I endured.
